My dad passed three years ago and though I felt a certain sadness, I was comforted in the thought of him happy and healthy, learning the lessons of this life, and preparing for the next one.
When it came time to assist our very ill seventeen-year-old Bichon Frise, Picasso, to leave this world for the unleashed pastures of the heavenly worlds, I thought I’d be able to handle that transition just as easily. After all, I am an ECKist! We do have a different outlook on Soul’s translation after death of the physical body that happens to include our pets.
When the time came, my husband Bob called in a Lap of Love hospice vet and we were able to play the HU song softly in the background as we sang HU silently to ourselves. We shared with the hospice vet about Prajapati (an ECK Master that cares for animals), the HU, and our beliefs about our pets reincarnating and serving life too. We even found an extra copy of Animals Are Soul Too! to offer her as a gift, which she gladly accepted, saying it would be of help to her. Read More

A mother went shopping with her bratty daughter. They were standing in the checkout line, waiting to pay for groceries. The mother had a shopping cart filled with food, and the little girl had her hands all over it. She kept pushing the cart against the back of the woman ahead of them in line. “Bam, bam, bam,” she said, as she rammed the cart into the woman.
Finally the woman turned around. “Could you please ask your daughter to stop? That hurts!” she said to the mother.
“I will not,” the mother answered. “My daughter is being raised the antiauthoritarian way. And I wish her to have freedom.” And the little girl went right on banging this woman in the back. Read More

Try this simple spiritual exercise to help you hear and see the two aspects of God, the Light and Sound.
Go somewhere quiet. Sit or lie down in a comfortable place. Put your attention on your Spiritual Eye, a point just above and behind your eyebrows. With eyes lightly shut, begin to sing a holy word or phrase, such as HU, God, Holy Spirit, or “Show me thy ways, O Lord.” But fill your heart with love before you approach the altar of God, because only the pure may come.
Be patient. Do this exercise for several weeks, for a limit of twenty minutes each time. Sit, sing, and wait. God speaks to you only when you are able to listen.

The ECK or the Holy Spirit speaks to us all the time, providing guidance, protection and even answers to problems we face in life. All one has to do is be humble enough to listen to the silent voice of the ECK and follow its guidance. Sometimes this spiritual guidance comes by way of ‘waking dream’ experiences that help us sidestep spiritual harm.
I was driving along the highway, feeling frustrated and agitated about an issue that had come up between me and a colleague. Before I knew it, I was having angry thoughts and negative energy was slowly building up within. Just as this was happening, my thoughts were disrupted by a sharp sound of a very tiny object that flew out of nowhere and hit the front windscreen. It was as if I received a small jolt from the sound energy. I knew right away that it was a quick reminder from the Inner Master to watch my negative train of thoughts before they caused me spiritual harm. So I let the angry thoughts go. Read More

Q: When animals meet their goal, do they become ECK Masters the way we do? Where is heaven? What is heaven?
A: Souls in animal forms do not get the initiations as we do. Their spiritual unfoldment is handled in other ways.
Animals can follow their own path to mastership if they want to. Only through the lower worlds, though. For example, earth allows several levels for Soul to gain experiences in life, including the mineral, plant, fish, animal, and human stages.
But there’s no fixed spiritual law about a rock having to stay a rock. Or a daisy staying a daisy.
By choice, though, most Souls want to taste life at all levels. They do go from the lower to higher body forms. So animals could move up to human. Yet that would take many lifetimes. Read More

In August 2013, I had a work accident in my right shoulder. I was not working for many months but I kept my salary. As usual, the company I work for did contest the work accident and they took me to court. I was highly stressed since I’ve never been to court before.
A month before I was scheduled to testify, before I went to bed, I talked to the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master and told him, “Here Mahanta, I put at your feet all my stress, my worries and all the documents concerning the court.” I did this many times during the month. Read More

Q: What is the difference between the love one has for one’s mate and the love Soul has for God?
Is one sort of love better than the other? And is it still possible to fall in love with someone after you reach God Consciousness?
A: The highest love is a pure love for God.
A pure love for one’s mate is the same as a pure love for God. There is no difference. But, frankly, pure love is a rarity—whether for God or for mate.
“Falling in love” usually means falling into karma. Karma—good, bad, or neutral—sets the tone for a relationship. For example, some couples love to fight.
The attraction between people of a high state of consciousness is a mutual desire to serve God and life. Such a couple join forces to help each other reach even higher states of being.
A high, pure love is sweet indeed.

It’s now May, and in our household, we have four beings that put out fur, and two beings that collect the fur and clean up after the four. It seems we are outnumbered. How did that happen?
Two years ago our beloved male cat, Nico, had a marked decline in health. We thought his decline was temporary, and followed the vet’s option to put in a feeding tube. Years earlier I decided that using a feeding tube for a loved one was a “line in the sand” that I never wanted to cross. Now I was crossing that line. Through round-the-clock duty of feeding Nico every four hours for six weeks, both my wife and I received an abundance of love, and developed a stronger relationship. On the drive to the vet during Nico’s last hour, my wife kindly suggested we play the HU song. She knew the HU song, which is a way to express and be filled with divine love, would help me feel calm. I was driving into the parking lot of a local discount store when I suddenly saw a white Cadillac tailing me. I wasn’t paying too much attention until the person in the Cadillac began honking the horn over and over.
The driveway was huge, but the Cadillac cruised right on my left rear fender. The driver was upset. She thought I had cut in front of her while driving into the parking lot. She cruised on my bumper for a long time, then finally pulled around me, parked, and rushed into the store.
I don’t like to be pushed, so when she came out of the store, I went over to her and said, “You probably didn’t notice, but the freeway is over there.” This was not the thing to say. She batted my ears down. When she left, I said, “That was really something.” I could feel the waves of anger coming from her so strongly that I found myself shaking. Read More

I put together a little park newsletter and in the last issue I had related how in my three-times-a-day walk around the block with my little dog Buster, I encounter this neighbor. And she had said, “I am in remission, what a wonderful word that is.”
Again Buster and I were on our walk, this same neighbor rolled down her car window and asked me how I was. I in turn asked how she was. And she said, “The cancer is back.” This hit me so hard I felt I had been punched in the stomach. I truly did not understand my reaction. I quickly recovered, smiled, and gave a thumps up. She gave me a thumbs up in return and said, “I beat it before, I will beat it again.” Read More
