“I love you,” she whispered.

Several years ago, I got a phone call that changed my life. My daughter, Desola, had been seriously injured in a terrible car accident.
I rushed to the hospital but it was too late. Desola, whom I called “my princess,” had died.
As a student of the ECK teachings, I knew that, as Soul, Desola is eternal. I also knew that death of the physical body frees us from the bonds of earth, allowing us to move on to our next spiritual experience.
But the shock and trauma of the accident seemed to make it difficult for Desola to move on—to let go of her physical life. For several days, ECK friends and family saw Desola in their dreams. Often, I could sense her clinging to me. Read More

I was born deaf. So my way of interpreting the world came mostly through sight. As I grew up, I developed a hunger for spiritual truth. I read a lot about different religions and a variety of paths, trying to find one that was right for me.
I studied everything from Christianity to metaphysical teachings. But no matter what I tried, none of these satisfied my hunger.
I felt lost. Read More

I and my then fiancée (now wife) had an encounter with an ECK Master. It was in the summer of 1989 in La Jolla, California.
My fiancée and I had parked our car at Torrey Pines State Beach on the coastline. We hiked south along the beach. We passed by a trail which led from the beach up to the cliff tops that looked over the sea. I thought to myself “There’ll be another one up ahead that we can take.”
Well it turned out that there was no other trail up ahead and we wound up walking all the way to Scripps Pier to the south before we could turn inland to make our way back. A distance of several miles. Read More

My beloved Golden Retriever Kirby had cancer and pancreatitis. I did not do very well at all spiritually during the months before his translation. The thought of being separated from him in the physical was not only sad, but filled me with fear. He and his sister had been such bright lights during some of my darkest hours, and I could not imagine being without this bit of heaven here on earth.
After he translated I was very sad for months, and the sleep that I lacked during the months of nursing him day and night had really thrown me out of balance. After six months I had the following dream. I was riding a bicycle and both he and his sister were running alongside me. I knew that my destination was too far for them to continue and I wondered what to do. Read More

Thank you, Sri Harold, from the bottom of my heart for bringing me into Eckankar. I had known vaguely about Eckankar but was busy with my spiritual path little knowing I would end my search in Eckankar.
About seven years ago I was spending a lot of time on my couch asking for direction. I was not in good shape, with many ailments and much pain. One day, I turned the TV on to the community channel and heard the sound of HU. Then you came on and started to speak. I was bewildered. You were telling what I thought was a very simple story. But then I noticed your eyes looking deeply into mine and love started to pour into me right from the television. I was astonished. I started to laugh and cry and to shut my eyes tightly against all that love but kept opening them to receive more of that astonishing love which I had never experienced. Later, somebody told me I had received the Darshan which I had never heard of. Read More

My dad passed three years ago and though I felt a certain sadness, I was comforted in the thought of him happy and healthy, learning the lessons of this life, and preparing for the next one.
When it came time to assist our very ill seventeen-year-old Bichon Frise, Picasso, to leave this world for the unleashed pastures of the heavenly worlds, I thought I’d be able to handle that transition just as easily. After all, I am an ECKist! We do have a different outlook on Soul’s translation after death of the physical body that happens to include our pets.
When the time came, my husband Bob called in a Lap of Love hospice vet and we were able to play the HU song softly in the background as we sang HU silently to ourselves. We shared with the hospice vet about Prajapati (an ECK Master that cares for animals), the HU, and our beliefs about our pets reincarnating and serving life too. We even found an extra copy of Animals Are Soul Too! to offer her as a gift, which she gladly accepted, saying it would be of help to her. Read More

The ECK or the Holy Spirit speaks to us all the time, providing guidance, protection and even answers to problems we face in life. All one has to do is be humble enough to listen to the silent voice of the ECK and follow its guidance. Sometimes this spiritual guidance comes by way of ‘waking dream’ experiences that help us sidestep spiritual harm.
I was driving along the highway, feeling frustrated and agitated about an issue that had come up between me and a colleague. Before I knew it, I was having angry thoughts and negative energy was slowly building up within. Just as this was happening, my thoughts were disrupted by a sharp sound of a very tiny object that flew out of nowhere and hit the front windscreen. It was as if I received a small jolt from the sound energy. I knew right away that it was a quick reminder from the Inner Master to watch my negative train of thoughts before they caused me spiritual harm. So I let the angry thoughts go. Read More

In August 2013, I had a work accident in my right shoulder. I was not working for many months but I kept my salary. As usual, the company I work for did contest the work accident and they took me to court. I was highly stressed since I’ve never been to court before.
A month before I was scheduled to testify, before I went to bed, I talked to the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master and told him, “Here Mahanta, I put at your feet all my stress, my worries and all the documents concerning the court.” I did this many times during the month. Read More

It’s now May, and in our household, we have four beings that put out fur, and two beings that collect the fur and clean up after the four. It seems we are outnumbered. How did that happen?
Two years ago our beloved male cat, Nico, had a marked decline in health. We thought his decline was temporary, and followed the vet’s option to put in a feeding tube. Years earlier I decided that using a feeding tube for a loved one was a “line in the sand” that I never wanted to cross. Now I was crossing that line. Through round-the-clock duty of feeding Nico every four hours for six weeks, both my wife and I received an abundance of love, and developed a stronger relationship. On the drive to the vet during Nico’s last hour, my wife kindly suggested we play the HU song. She knew the HU song, which is a way to express and be filled with divine love, would help me feel calm. I put together a little park newsletter and in the last issue I had related how in my three-times-a-day walk around the block with my little dog Buster, I encounter this neighbor. And she had said, “I am in remission, what a wonderful word that is.”
Again Buster and I were on our walk, this same neighbor rolled down her car window and asked me how I was. I in turn asked how she was. And she said, “The cancer is back.” This hit me so hard I felt I had been punched in the stomach. I truly did not understand my reaction. I quickly recovered, smiled, and gave a thumps up. She gave me a thumbs up in return and said, “I beat it before, I will beat it again.” Read More
