In ECK, there is the principle of the Inner and Outer Master. The Outer Master is myself as the spiritual leader of Eckankar. But there is also an inner part, which we call the Inner Master, who gives spiritual instruction to each person as he or she needs it.
In other words, each person is unique in how they look at life, because each person’s experiences have been totally unique. Even twins are unique in that there is a different being operating through each physical body.
As the Inner Master I am able to reach and teach many people at once. More importantly, I am able to talk to each person according to his spiritual needs. This is a part of the spiritual teaching of Eckankar which might differ from what many people are used to in their previous religion. Read More
You have the potential for greater happiness, love, and understanding. Singing HU can bring these to you—through the Light and Sound of God.
Throughout the ages, followers of many spiritual traditions have used prayer, the singing of holy words, and meditation to bring themselves closer to God. In the same way, those who have discovered HU, an ancient name for God, sing it for their spiritual upliftment.
Regardless of your beliefs or religion, you can sing HU to become happier and more secure in God’s love.

A woman had a female cat for a pet. They had lived together for eleven years, and there was a very strong bond of love between them. Eventually the cat died, and the woman missed her very much.
About a year after her cat had died, the woman had a series of very clear dreams. In one dream, someone told her, “Your cat is going to reincarnate on Monday, July 31.”
When the woman woke up, she said to herself, That dream was very nice. But I live in an apartment in a big city now. I don’t know how my cat is going to find me.
Then she had a second dream. In this dream someone handed her two tiny kittens. Read More

Thank you, Sri Harold, from the bottom of my heart for bringing me into Eckankar. I had known vaguely about Eckankar but was busy with my spiritual path little knowing I would end my search in Eckankar.
About seven years ago I was spending a lot of time on my couch asking for direction. I was not in good shape, with many ailments and much pain. One day, I turned the TV on to the community channel and heard the sound of HU. Then you came on and started to speak. I was bewildered. You were telling what I thought was a very simple story. But then I noticed your eyes looking deeply into mine and love started to pour into me right from the television. I was astonished. I started to laugh and cry and to shut my eyes tightly against all that love but kept opening them to receive more of that astonishing love which I had never experienced. Later, somebody told me I had received the Darshan which I had never heard of. Read More

Q: I have many questions about the nature of Soul. For example, do minerals, plants, and animals have Souls?
A: An uncountable number of Souls exist in creation. There is also an endless number of forms in which Souls can find expression for spiritual unfoldment. The human form is but one of many.
On earth, we are familiar mainly with human, animal, reptile, fish, plant, and even mineral forms (like rocks, etc.).
We are a little like the theologians and others of the early Middle Ages. They believed that all human races were then known. Of course, the sea explorations by Columbus and others later revealed two whole continents (North and South America) inhabited by a previously unknown red race. That discovery was a major threat to biblical interpretation. Red people? The Bible didn’t say anything about a red race. Read More

“The wise man is one who stores up the ECK within himself and at the same time distributes the spiritual love which is within himself. He is not one who gives his compassion to a few but to all, whether or not many understand this. He is able to live among the wretched, the thieves, the unhappy, robbers and fools, for he accepts life for whatever it is and gives love to all. He is the wise one who is able to give all that he has to his fellow man. He finds love for those who greedily accept what he gives, and they shall be blessed a thousand times for his love.”

It all started a little over a year ago when out of so much frustration I applied for another job just for the sake of it. I should have known straight away that it was the ECK in play.
I knew the following day after I applied for the job that it was mine. My partner and I were driving somewhere and in huge letters a sign overhead read “Kiss your boss goodbye.” Funny thing was that he didn’t even see this huge sign. It was only meant for me.
Within two weeks I had secured this job and handed in notice. I thought that it was going to be a great job. I felt quite comfortable moving to a doctor’s surgery where I knew one of the doctors, and had heard many times from her how great the place was. Read More

I am so grateful that my husband joined Eckankar in 1992. At the time I worried he was joining a cult, but my faith in his judgment and my love for him allowed me to let him follow his path. I read the books he purchased for nine years and by year six I knew that I would one day join.
In 2001 I had an inner experience and knew it was time. Read More

After returning from the 2015 ECK Springtime Seminar this year, I felt like a completely different person. I’ve never felt the Mahanta’s presence so closely, ever! I realized that all of the events that make up my day have been put there for a reason. Sure, I need a job so I can afford to live, but why this job? Why do I know these people? I had this new sense of knowingness that my only real purpose is to serve God. Every person, place, and thing that makes up my world here on this physical plane was put here in order to help me grow and so I would have the opportunity to help others grow. Read More
