Seeing through the Inner Senses

ECKANKAR, Harold Klemp, HU inner visionBy Harold Klemp

“The extrovertive way looks outward, through the physical senses into the external world, finding there the greater experience of the divine reality. The introvertive way turns inward, with an introspective manner of seeing through the inner senses and eyes to find the greater experience of the divine reality beyond the human consciousness.”

Dream Guidance Opens the Door to a Miracle

Dream Guidance Opens the Door to a MiracleBy Harold Klemp

Some years ago, doctors told Rebecca that she was barren—she would never have children. She’s a member of Eckankar and has come to believe in her dreams. Despite this prognosis by the doctors, she still wanted to be a mother, to have her own children. So she opened herself to the ECK and said, “If there’s any way for me to have my own children, please let it be so.”

She determined at this time that she would begin living her religion. So as a member of Eckankar, she began to do her spiritual exercises every day. She read a lot of ECK books, and she practiced the ECK principles as best she could. Read More

For a New Approach to Life

Shariyat SpirEX Bk1_CoverBy Harold Klemp

“Hold all and wait. The questions that are in one’s mind will be worked out eventually without a word from the Master. The light becomes stronger and the darkness vanishes in the reorganization of the inner man and his thinking processes and habits. Do not make the mistake of trying to fit the teachings of ECK into the old ways of thinking. Drop all and start over again.”

Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Bk. 1, p. 96

Do you have a problem or a question you would like to get beyond? In contemplation, sing HU for several minutes, and open your heart to divine love.

In your Spiritual Eye, see the Light of ECK entering your inner being and reorganizing the atoms of your thoughts and habits. The sparkling Light of ECK soothes and uplifts you in spirit. Continue this exercise for fifteen to twenty minutes or more.

Watch for a subtle feeling of lightness in your heart and mind as you go about your day.

How to Read The Worlds of ECK Chart

This is a road map to the inner planes or heavens. You can use this chart to plan your spiritual travels or to better understand where you have been or what you have experienced.

Worlds_of_ECK_color_HI

There is a bold line dividing the top half and lower half of the chart; this separates the lower worlds from the higher God Worlds of ECK. Thus, the chart shows which worlds are predominantly negative and which are positive (this is noted on the left side of the chart). The right side of the chart shows that the lower worlds are the training ground for Self-Realization and the higher worlds are the training ground for God-Realization. Read More

Why I Am an ECKist

By Rodney, New York

I have been asked by a number of people, and I am sure many more wonder, why are you an ECKist? What does it mean to be an ECKist?

Well the textbook description of an ECKist is a person who is a member of Eckankar. To many I suppose it sounds strange, a name they have not heard before, unknown terms like Light and Sound, and Mahanta.

I won’t share here what ECKANKAR is in an academic sense, rather, I will share what it means to me, what my experience of almost 40 years has been. Read More

What Is a Lamb’s Life Purpose?

Photo by: Kristy WalkerBy Jenny, Minnesota

Bella, a lamb, was born on a cold March day in Minnesota. While her twin brother was large and robust, Bella was small and frail. The next morning, mother and son were doing well, but Bella was weak and cold. I carried her into the house, wrapped a blanket around her, then held her in my arms while telling her I loved her and that Sugmad loved her too. Read More

Spiritual Exercise: Listening for the Sacred Sounds

love-song-to-god_rita-maupinBy Harold Klemp

When you go to bed, listen in a gentle, calm way to the night sounds. Sometimes you’ll hear the night birds, the hum of air conditioning, the traffic outside, a helicopter flying overhead, or the soft rumble of voices. Just lie in bed and listen. You hear these different sounds so often that you unconsciously erase them from your mind. Put some attention on them now. Read More

A Timeless Love

A Timeless LoveBy Bonnie, New Mexico

I was going through a marriage breakup and wondered if I would ever find someone to love. It isn’t always easy to find the right person.

One day I went to an ECK event. When I arrived, there were already more than twenty people there. Looking around the room, I noticed a young man. There seemed to be a golden light around him. Although I hadn’t met him before, I felt we knew each other. Then I heard the voice of the Mahanta, the Inner Master.

“There he is!” he said. Read More

Spiritual Exercise: For Cleanliness of Spirit

inner_worlds_25_color_hiBy Harold Klemp

“He must practice the disciplines of ECK. The first is to have cleanliness of mind, that no words which would pollute the air enter into his mind. He shall look upon all men as creatures of God and this only; for they, like himself, are temples who shall eventually become Co-workers with God.”

—Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Bk. 1, p. 100

Close your eyes, and chant the letters H-U for several minutes. In your Spiritual Eye, imagine a beautiful inner temple, constructed of the Light and Sound of God. See how the Light and Sound cleans, polishes, and purifies each detail of the inner temple of Soul. You may want to stay with this exercise for thirty minutes.

In your outer life, give extra care to cleaning one thing with all your love and attention. Be aware of the Light and Sound working through you.
