To Heal an Error

Did you know it’s possible to find joy even though you’ve made a mistake? This ancient truth is found in the passage below, from The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Eckankar’s sacred scriptures. It offers hope and encouragement.

Chelas, spiritual students, can be reassured of the Mahanta‘s presence, lifting their spirits even after a setback.

The spiritual exercise that follows suggests another way to sing HU, a holy name for God, for bathing in the purifying Light and Sound of God (Divine Spirit). Trust in the Mahanta’s guidance can help you understand you are always loved and never alone—no matter what may have gone sideways in your life.

Going Home to God

Going Home to God

Fubbi Quantz. FOO-bee KWAHNTS The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master during the time of Buddha, about 500 BC. A teacher of Firdusi, the Persian poet, he was also the spiritual guide for Columbus and encouraged his voyage to the Americas in order to revitalize the depleted nutrition of the Europeans.

As a spiritual seeker, I found the ECKANKAR Web site very helpful and informative. In my heart I knew this was for me. I wrestled with it for almost a month, but then I thought, What would hurt to get a one-year membership? After all, if I was unhappy with it or didn’t like it, I could get right back into metaphysics. So I jumped right in. I went online, made a donation, and signed up for membership.

The next day, I decided to do the HU. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. So I started to sing HU. I felt awkward, but I continued. Still feeling awkward, I pressed through the battle in my mind. I focused on my Third Eye. I began to feel the pure vibration I had felt a short time before, when I visited an ECK Center. I began to be filled up with love. The awkwardness was certainly gone. I was raptured in Spirit. Read More

Spiritual Exercise: Finding Yourself in Eternity

By Harold Klemp

Every night upon retiring, relax on the bed. Watch the process of going to sleep. Keep your attention on the point between the eyebrows, the Spiritual Eye.

As your body relaxes and your mind settles down, that change in viewpoint takes place which we call sleep. Maintain the attitude of awareness. You will note your body getting quiet and your thoughts settling down. Hearing is often the last to leave the human consciousness. You will be detached on the borderline state, as though in a dream. For Creative Inspiration

Shariyat SpirEX Bk1_CoverBy Harold Klemp

“If man is to survive in the physical universe, then he must find time for creative activity in spiritual things. Until this comes about, within a group with time to do something besides subsist in the materialistic worlds, there is little opportunity for the spiritual sensitivity of man to develop.”

—Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Bk 1, pp. 183–84

Is there a goal or a project you would like to take the next step with? Picture this clearly in your Spiritual Eye.

With eyes open or shut, chant the word ghata for several minutes. It’s an ECK word for the act of opening the consciousness. After a minute or so of silence, return to chanting the word and going into silence, until you have repeated this pattern three times.

Inspiration may come during this exercise or during the day as the word draws new vibrations into your awareness.

A Dog’s Love Transcends Death

dog, Soul, Harold Klemp, Prajapati, Spiritual EyeBy Harold Klemp

A man had a very old dog, Zeke, who was his special friend.  The veterinarian had bad news, though.  The fourteen-and-a-half-year-old dog had cancer in his abdomen, but no pain.

He’d probably slip peacefully away, said the vet.  But if Zeke developed a breathing problem, it would be time to let him go.

That sad day soon came.  The man and his wife took Zeke to the vet and had him put to sleep.  Zeke was in the man’s arms when he went, literally leaping from that tired old body like a prisoner set free from his cell.

On the drive home, the man’s Spiritual Eye opened.  He saw Prajapati, the ECK Master who cares for the animals. Read More

Spiritual Exercise: The Purifying Sound

ECKANKAR, HU, Holy Spirity, Sound, Spiritual EyeBy Harold Klemp

Close your eyes and look to the Spiritual Eye.  Sing HU, an old and secret name for God.  It is one of the most powerful words for spiritual upliftment that I can give you.

As you sing HU, listen for the Sound.  The Sound may be heard in any number of different ways.  It can be like the sound of a train going by, a bird, buzzing bees, sometimes a flute, or even guitars.  The way you hear It just depends on where you are.

These sounds are the action of the Holy Spirit, the ECK, as Its atoms vibrate in the invisible worlds.  The Sound you hear is the vibration at the particular level to which you are attuned at the time.

Imagine the Sound purifying you, removing the impurities of Soul.  It will bring you an understanding of how your actions have caused your problems.  It will also give you an indication of what you can do to unfold and how to figure out the way to do things right.
